Classroom Programs

At Forever Young Child Care Learning Center, we provide the highest quality of Infant through School Age Programs fostering a true partnership with parents. We believe the parents are the most significant people in their child's lives. As child care providers we encourage daily communications. We provide this with written daily sheets that clearly communicate and outline your child’s day. This is very helpful to the parent and teachers who do not see each other at drop off or at pick up times at the end of the day. These daily sheets will include a place for instructions from the parents to teachers, to record feedings, naptimes, diaper changes, potty times and a space to record developmental notes and observations.

Curriculum Supervisor:

Hello my name is Vanessa Giroux and I am the Curriculum Supervisor for Forever Young Child Care Learning Center. I have passion for Early Childhood Education and I have the leadership skills needed to be the Curriculum Supervisor, because this is where the foundation of learning begins.  My goal as Curriculum Supervisor is to oversee and plan a program that teaches, inspires, and instructs children in activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth. I provide direction to the teaching staff on all curriculum matters.  I guide and evaluate the classroom curriculum for each age level.  I look forward to watching each child develop and learn at their own pace while experiencing the full aspects of the Forever Young Curriculum.

Infant

6 weeks to 12 months

Infants change daily. At Forever Young we will create a learning environment that offers individual scheduling, consistency and flexibility, personalized area with photos of the child and their family, activity areas that will provide your child with endless opportunities for growth and development. Tickling toes, playing peek-a-boo, talking to children during diapering, getting the child to hold a cup after eating, etc., become the core of interactions with babies. In addition, infant environments should include a variety of stimulating things to do, such as: manipulate, touch, watch, and follow.

Meet the Staff:

Hi! My name is Ms. Kim. I am the Third in Charge Supervisor and Head Infant Teacher. I have 20 years of child care experience. I have lived in South Windsor all my life. I am married and have a 26 yr old son Raymond. I enjoy working with children and get great satisfaction watching them go from being dependent to becoming independent.

Toddler

12 - 24 months

Toddlers are busy little people.

Their new found mobility allows teachers to plan and implement a more systematic daily activity schedule with more children following similar schedules throughout the day with plenty of opportunity to explore, play and learn in a safe classroom environment. The key to a successful Toddler program includes providing enough materials for every interested child to participate. We have available duplicates of materials or similar materials so that each child has his or her own play thing. Because children at this age tend to go where the action is, they will always be drawn to the adults and other children in the room.

Meet the Staff:

Hello my name is Ms. Ericka . I have 4 years of child care experience.   I enjoy driving, shopping, watching movies, editing pictures and spending time with my family and friends.  I enjoy working with children.  I like to see the little changes in them as they become independent.

Two’s & Young Three’s

24 to 44 months

Two year olds are busy physically and verbally!

At Forever Young our two years-old program focuses on the critical relationship building that occurs at this age, supporting intellectual and social development. Encouraging Curiosity and Play. Manipulative toys are used to promote eye-hand coordination. Teachers emphasize daily routines and social interaction. Picture books, songs and skits are used to increase color, shape and number recognition. Fostering awareness our teachers organize socio-dramatic play activities so children can dress-up and role-play. This develops new skills, such as problem-solving, self-care routines and conversation. Children are frequently read stories to build listening skills and are often asked to repeat the stories to develop memory recognition. These skills should be in place before entering into a preschool classroom environment.

Preschool

3 to 5 years old

At preschool age, children are learning many cognitive skills to prepare them for kindergarten. At Forever Young we believe that the best environment for preschoolers is one that consists of cognitive, and social lessons and developmentally appropriate play. At this age, our most important goals are for children to get along well with others and become independent learners who are prepared to take on the challenges of kindergarten. These goals are accomplished through themed activities planned and implemented in our curriculum.

"Teachers who love teaching, teach children to LOVE Learning”
